Open Access Sites

Of the many things on Open House New York’s organizational wishlist, an OHNY Weekend app to help guide visitors around the city has been at or near the top for years. We are thrilled to announce that through a generous partnership with dsgnfix–a free, location-based iOS app that enables users to search, discover, and share design destinations and experiences–this year we’ve found a great solution. From now through OHNY Weekend (October 11-12), OHNY will be the “Featured Curator” on dsgnfix, transforming this brand new app into the fastest way to find information about the Open Access sites that are nearest to you.

During OHNY Weekend, visitors who download the dsgnfix app to their iPhones will be able to pull up a complete listing of every single participating Open Access site! Listings are organized by what is closest to the user’s real-time location and will change as you move around the city. You can also view sites as a map, letting you easily find your way to the nearest free, drop-in destination.

OHNY Weekend visitors can also use dsgnfix to post and share buildings, parks and streetscapes they discover in NYC during the Weekend. Click here to visit the dsgnfix website to learn more—or visit the App Store on your iPhone and search for “dsgnfix” to download the app today.

Please note: dsgnfix is available for iPhone users only.
