With over 350 sites and programs throughout the five boroughs, we need a LOT of volunteers for the upcoming OHNY Weekend, October 10 & 11.

In exchange for the generous donation of your time and effort, you receive an official OHNY volunteer button which allows front-of-the-line access at non-reservation sites and programs throughout the OHNY Weekend. Since many of the sites are in high demand, being able to jump the lines is actually a great benefit, especially for those of you who plan on seeing several sites a day!

Bruce McDonald, a Volunteer Council member, says:

“Last year, I was assigned to help park rangers conduct tours of the non-renovated side of Ellis Island, through the abandoned hospitals, doctors’ residences, and other structures that are regularly strictly off limits to island visitors. It was an amazing experience, and there are hundreds of other sites that provide equally awesome volunteer opportunities!”

The deadline for registration has been extended until Monday, September 21, so please register today!  And please encourage friends, family and co-workers to help us out!
