Wythe Hotel

Don’t miss out on a chance to explore this new addition to this year’s OHNY Weekend! The Wythe Hotel, a true gem in Williamsburg, opened its doors this past May 2012. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects, the hotel exudes the same edgy Brooklyn style as the neighborhood where it resides. Housed in a former cooperage factory built in 1901, the Wythe perfectly balances the new with the old, in a clean, simple and homey sort of way. Enjoy afternoon tours with the architect during OHNY Weekend!

The Four Seasons, the legendary restaurant in the Seagram Building, has become world-renowned for its modernist interior. Built in 1959, Philip Johnson collaborated with an extraordinary group of artists and designers to create this true work of art. Currently being restored by Belmont Freeman Architects, the restaurant is a new site for OHNY Weekend. Get an inside look at the mechanisms and progress of modern restoration of the restaurant with architect, Belmont Freeman and see how the restoration has been carefully staged to allow the restaurant to continue to operate through construction.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at Cipriani Wall Street without having to make a dinner reservation! The restaurant building is a designated NYC landmark that was previously the home of the New York Merchants Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, the US Custom House, and the headquarters of the National City Bank. Framed by monolithic columns, the restaurant features architectural details including a 70-ft ceiling with a Wedgwood dome.

New York Marriott Marquis

The New York Marriott Marquis, opened in 1985 and designed by architect John Portman, helped spark the revitalization of the then sordid Times Square Theater District. Characterized by the soaring 45-floor high atrium and high tech elevators, the hotel also holds over 100,000-sq-ft of meeting space and is one of the largest hotels in the city. Hear about the history and day-to-day operations of this immense hotel during OHNY Weekend.
