Government Shutdown Update
With the Weekend four days away, we are holding out hope for one more day that the federal government shutdown will end soon and the federally-operated sites originally scheduled to participate in OHNY Weekend can be added back to the list. We will make a final announcement tomorrow, so be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter, or check back on our blog for tomorrow’s updates, for more information.

New Weekend Information Hub
The government shutdown most directly impacts the location of the Weekend Information Hub, which was originally scheduled to be at the Alexander Hamilton US Custom House/Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian at Bowling Green. We will make an announcement about the relocated Information Hub tomorrow; watch Facebook and Twitter for updates.

We are sorry to announce that tours of Hunters Point South Intermediate/High School in Long Island City and Freshkills Park on Staten Island, both of which required advance reservations, have had to be canceled. If you had a reservation you should have received an email notifying you of the cancelation. If you did not, please email
